Matheson lake fishing report

Location : Located within Matheson Provincial Park which is 27 km (17 mi) southwest of Victoria by way of Rocky Point Road.

Fishing Report: Angling is mainly from the shore and best during April-June and September-October. The lake provides excellent fishery for smallmouth bass, cutthroat and rainbow trout.

Nearby Lakes

Kemp Lake - Nearby Kemp Lake is stocked with cutthroat trout of up to 40cm+ (16 in) and is good for fly fishing, particularily in March. The lake is 6 km (3.7 mi) west of Sooke.
